Maria Friberg
Personal Profile:
I'm a trained painter, photographer, and video artist and I work with themes of power and nature in my photography. I'm settled in Stockholm, Sweden and I mostly work for myself while capturing the world through my perspective. I'm from the city of Malmo and I was born in the year of 1966. My work is and has been displayed in different galleries across Sweden, one in Brussel, and also Finland.

About my art:
My artwork is all about scale. My pictures are not supposed to suggest that the viewer is just peeping in on them, but rather being a part of what I'm trying to expose. My subjects are usually put in front of a white or an abstract background.
When it comes to my video artworks, I've done some of them using the ocean as the main motion and subject with time as the main exposition. Even though I use real life models in them, they make my art more interesting to look at than just ocean waves. My painted works are within the same type of theme - power. Examples above in the Gallery.
